We hope this bulletin finds you well.
For this edition your Lead Rep at Derriford, Ian Minards, has recorded a brief video (link below) to introduce himself to anyone who has not been able to meet him yet, and let you know a bit about some of the things UNISON is working on in the hospital.
As always, you can speak to your local rep, or Ian can be contacted on email@example.com

Becoming a Health and Safety Rep
#BeOnTheSafeSide is our campaign to recruit more health and safety reps. Interested? You get paid time off, and legal rights to represent the health and safety concerns of members in your workplace.
Join us for a national webinar on becoming a UNISON health and safety rep, at 3pm on Tuesday 7 July. You can register here
Let us know if you’re interested and we can arrange to talk to you at a convenient time to answer any of your questions – click here to answer our quick survey.
As Ian mentioned, we are keen to hold the Trust to account to make sure all is done to support Black, Asian and Minority Ethnic health workers who are at increased risk from Covid-19.
If you would like to get involved with UNISON’s Self Organised Group for Black Members you can also let us know via the confidential survey link
Sunday is the 72nd birthday of the NHS and at 5pm everyone across the UK is being encouraged to join the biggest ever ‘clap for carers’ to thank all key workers, as well as raise a cup of tea – or a tipple of their choosing – with their neighbours.
UNISON will also be celebrating with an online virtual celebration of 72 years of our NHS:
