There is an urgent need to talk about what we are going to do about Pay this year. We are not expecting much from a post election offer but you might want to ask candidates knocking on your door of phoning you up what their views on pay rises for public sector workers are?

We think a rise of 10% is not only affordable, it’s deserved. Let’s not have another 10 years of Austerity.
Council staff have worked through the pandemic, not all from home, and some have done massive unpaid overtime hours directly dealing with issues relating to Covid19
Schools staff too have had to make huge adaptations to cope with remote learning, and we know its often support staff that have had to go in and deliver Educare during the peaks of the pandemic.
