It’s important that we get as many Black members, Young Black Members and reps to come along as possible.

James Lenihan, a solicitor from Thompsons will be there from 11am to 12pm to give a presentation on race discrimination law. The aim is to provide some advice for reps on:

UNISON’s Race Protocol and how to bring issues and cases
What to be mindful of
How to recognise a case with prospects
Why some claims succeed and others fail

If there’s time they will also provide some advice on wills and probate.

Lunch will be provided. Delegates and attendees will be able to claim travel expenses.

The AGM is open to any members who identify as Black.
