Trans awareness week is between November 13-19 and November 20 marks trans day of remembrance. The week is to help raise visibility and awareness of issues trans people face and to celebrate with our trans community. This year, UNISON will be lighting up UNISON Central in trans flag colours to celebrate trans awareness week.

18 October was World Menopause Day. The menopause is an occupational health, equality, workplace and a trade union issue 365 days a year.

PiU is partnering with TUC Livewell. Derriford Hospital and PCC to deliver training on the matter in the New Year

International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women falls on 25th November. This year’s theme is “Orange the World: Fund, Respond, Prevent, Collect!” As in previous years, this year’s International Day will mark the launch of 16 days of activism that will conclude on 10 December 2020, which is International Human Rights Day.
There is also just one month to go until White Ribbon Day 2021. This message this year to all White Ribbon Supporters is to help get the message out that #AllMenCan make a difference to end men’s violence against women.

Rights of Women’s ‘Sexual Harassment in the Workplace Legal Conference’, will be taking place online, on Friday 19th November 2021.
The one-day online conference will bring together legal and policy experts, activists and survivors, to share their expertise, knowledge and vision on how to address and end sexual harassment in the workplace.
