We are getting more and more reports from members working in social care that staff shortages are becoming chronic. Low pay levels, poor treatment of staff and mandatory vaccination are all contributing to the problem.

UNISON is fighting hard to get action from government, pushing for investment in pay, sector reform and a policy of persuasion not coercion regarding the vaccine.

In this month’s newsletter you can find out about UNISON’s message for care workers at Labour conference, the chance to participate in important new research and you can take a short survey on staff shortages.
