Hopefully many of you have already been putting up posters or distributing leaflets in offices, school staffrooms and other workplaces to help get as many colleagues as possible to vote Yes for Action on Local Government Pay. If you need any more just shout.

But what about all those colleagues working from home? Well I’m sure all of you will be contacting workmates in your teams / schools but that will leave plenty of gaps and we need to get at least half of our members to vote.

Guidance is in the process of being circulated that explains how branches can nominate activists to use a version of the member database MCT-Lite to participate in phone banking for Local Government NJC industrial action ballot only.
If you would like to help please contact the branch asapAny activist wishing to participate in the phone bank must complete the mandatory Data Protection and the GDPR at https://e-learning.unison.org.uk/. This is available straight away as activists should have undertaken this training already. Please do it even if you think you just might help as a refresher. You will need their membership details as this E-Note is hosted on MYUNISON.

Branch requests for activist access to MCT-Lite must be updated on WARMS by 5pm on Monday 6th December 2021.
Following the deadline, all requested activists who have completed the Data Protection E-Note will be emailed a link to an online training video on how to use MCT-Lite and an agreement to electronically sign and by entering their name they agree to the terms of use. The deadline for the completion of all signed agreements is 2pm Friday 10th December 2021. Access will be granted to those who have completed the signed agreement by Monday 13th December 2021. Please note that access to MCT-Lite is only granted for the duration of the LG NJC ballot campaign.
